Roberta May Herdman

Roberta M. Herdman, 89, Kansas City, Kansas passed away December 22, 2017. A visitation will be Saturday, December 30, 2017 from 1-2 PM with a funeral service to follow at 2 PM at Chapel Hill-Butler Funeral Home, 701 N. 94th St., Kansas City, Kansas 66112. Interment will be immediately following in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to the charity of the donor’s choice.

Roberta was born in Baltimore, Maryland on May 27, 1928 and moved to Kansas City in 1955. She was married to Eugene Herdman on November 27, 1947 in Baltimore, Maryland. She devoted her life to her family and volunteered for over 30 years at Providence Medical Center. Roberta was a member of Prince of Peace Lutheran Church from 1957 until 2013.

Roberta was preceded in passing by her husband of 65 years, Eugene; two sisters, Doris Bond and Virginia Rafferty; and brother, Albert Rauck.

Roberta is survived by her three children, Mark (Wanda) Herdman, Keith (Jody) Herdman and Robin (Dana) Gronau; grandchildren, David, Ryan, Elizabeth, Kerah, Joseph, Aaron, Travis and Jaclyn; 16 great grandchildren; and brother-in-law, Orval Herdman.
