Robert C Ross

Robert C. Ross “Bob”, 84, passed away April 18, 2013. A visitation will be held April 23rd from 10:00-11:00 AM with a funeral service at 11:00 AM at Chapel Hill-Butler Funeral Home. Interment will follow the funeral service at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.

Bob was born May 13, 1928 in Englemine, CA. He lived in Colorado and Idaho before moving to Kansas City. Bob graduated from Shawnee Mission High School in 1945 and enlisted in the Army in 1946. After enlisting, he was sent to Germany where he met and married Jean in 1948.

Bob worked for Phillips Petroleum from 1950 to 1986. Jean and Bob celebrated their 64th wedding anniversary last June 18th. During Bob’s life, he coached little league baseball, served on the Turner School Board, and belonged to the Mason’s and Sertoma Club.

Bob was preceded in death by his father, Robert C. Ross, Sr.; his mother, Mary Adela Buss; and Step-father. He is survived by his wife, Jean; sons, Rodney, John, and Bob. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Hilary, John Michael, Nick, Danielle, Christopher, Samantha, Michele, John Paul, James, Bob, and Chris; and great-grandchildren, Alexis, Broedy, Madison, Mikail, Macey, Maxten, Sydney, Sam, Jesse, Tristan, Ashlyn, Jade, Nova, Jasper, and Zenna.
