Mildred Gulley, 86, of Kansas City, Kansas passed away July 8, 2016. No services are planned at this time. Mildred was born July 18, 1929 in Lawrence, Kansas to Everett and Marie Taylor. She graduated from high school and worked for many years at Hammer Brothers manufacturing, where she was a member of the Union and retired in the early 1980’s. Mildred was involved with her sweetheart, Floyd Leslie Gulley, Sr. for many years before they tied the knot on July 26, 1999. She loved taking care of her family and watching Westerns whenever she could.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Everett and Marie Taylor, and her beloved husband, Floyd Leslie Gulley, Sr.; and her siblings, Deloris Burton, and Robert Taylor. Mildred is survived by her children, Bill Leo Porter, Brenda Sue Davis, Rodney Wayne “R.G.” Gulley, and Patricia Marie Stewart and her husband Herbert; 7 stepchildren, Betty Lee Gulley, Virginia Lee Gulley, Nancy Sue Gulley, Bertha Kay Gulley, Floyd Leslie Gulley, Jr., James William Gulley, and Betty Jean “Debbie” Gulley; 2 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren, and her brother, Leroy Taylor.
