Mary Jane York, 67 of Kansas City, Kansas passed way Friday, December 30, 2022, peacefully with her family by her side. Mary was born on July 25, 1955, in Kansas City, Missouri. Mary is now a guardian angel to her children Oliver (Angie) Stokesberry, Olivia (Joseph) Marts, brother Kenneth York, sister Jeanette Tullock, grandchildren Dylan (Lacey) Stokesberry, Hannah Stokesberry (Jason Fields), Michael Card (Nyah Perkins), Jacob Marts, Shelby Bridger, Kierstyn Bridger, and Jaden Bridger. Great Grandchildren Braxtyn Larabee, Bodhi Chaney, Luca Pankau, Waylon Stokesberry and soon to arrive Messiah Card. And many nieces and nephews. She will be dearly missed by many.
Mary is proceeded in death by her parents Robert & Betty York, son Robert Hart, brother Rudy York, brother John Conner, her best bud and sister-in-law Cathy York.
Mary graduated from Turner High School in the class of 1974 and received her associates degree in Accounting from Kansas City Kansas Community College.
Mary enjoyed spending time with her family more than anything. When you seen her daughter Olivia, Mary wasn’t too far behind or already there. She had a love for fast cars, ranging from a Firebird to Mitsubishi 3000 GT to her Black Corvette. From time to time, she could be seen and heard peeling rubber through Highland Crest.
Mary will be honored on January 21, 2023, at Chapel Hill-Butler Funeral Home 701 N. 94th Street Kansas City, Kansas 66112, Visitation at 10am, Services at 11am followed by reception.
