Mary Lue was born on March 3, 1933 in Kansas City, Kansas to Julius M and Helen G (Hendrickson) Noel. She graduated from Turner High School in 1951. She married her high school sweetheart, Bob, on November 22, 1952 at St. Patrick’s Church, KCK.
She worked as a Postal Clerk at Muncie Post Office for nearly 20 years. After being a stay at home mom for several years, she then worked for Greeting Card companies.
Mary Lue loved to travel with Bob, and they had adventures through much of United States and Europe. She was an officer and member of Wyandott Extension Homemaker Unit (EHU) and Union Pacific Junior Old Timers Auxiliary.
Mary Lue is greatly loved and will be missed by her husband John Robert (Bob) Preston and children Robbin (Ron) Killingsworth, Becky (Roger) Bell and seven grandchildren: Brendon (Tanya) Killingsworth , Meggan (Joe) Donham, Kelly (Allen) Roepka, Ryan (Ashley) Killingsworth, Darick (Crystal) Bell, Devon (Nick) Tschumakow, and Dana (Sam) Collins. She is also survived by 17 great grandchildren.
Services will be at Chapel Hill – Butler Funeral Home, 701 N. 94th Street, Kansas City, KS 66112 on Wednesday, November 11, 2020 with drive thru visitation from 11:00 am to noon due to Covid restrictions. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donation be made to St. Patrick’s Church, 1086 N 94th Street, Kansas City, KS 66112
