Mary M. Young Phillips

Mary M. Phillips, 88, of Kansas City, KS., passed away surrounded by her loving family on Wednesday, February 23, 2011. She will always be remembered as a devoted wife, loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother

and great great grandmother. Mary was born on October 29, 1922 in Urich, MO., to Joseph Dawson and Cora Belle (Call) Young. Mary accepted Christ at an early age. She was a member of Overland Park Baptist Temple. She was united in marriage to Ezra E. Phillips on July 11, 1942. To this union 7 children were born. . Mary is preceded in death by her parents, loving husband Ezra E. Phillips, daughter Barbara A. Burton, sister Pauline, and brothers Wayne, Jim and Lavern Young. Survivors include her children: Fayetta Phillips, William Phillips (Darlene), Glenda Laver (Gene), Marla Phillips, Michael Phillips (Suzy), James Phillips (Diane). 20 grandchildren, 30 great grandchildren, and 5 great great grandchildren. Funeral Service will be 1:00 p.m. Monday, February 28, 2011 at the Chapel Hill-Butler Funeral Home. Burial in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. Friends may call from 2:00-5:00 p.m. Sunday, February 27, 2011 at the funeral home.
