Louis Junior Adams, 96, Kansas City, KS passed away on February 16th, 2023. Louis was born on August 12, 1926 in Kansas City, Kansas to Louis and Blanch (Vilmure) Adams. He graduated in 1944 from Bonner Springs High School. He was also a graduate of KCK Jr College and the University of Kansas. He worked for General Motors and retired from Atomic Energy. He served in the US Navy and was a very proud veteran.
Louis married the love of his life, Malvina Adams on January 7, 1978. They were loyal morning walkers at the Oak Park Mall in the 1980’s where they looked forward to coffee with friends in the food court after a good walk. Together they spent many wonderful years traveling through most of the U.S., Mexico, taking cruises and a memorable trip to Hawaii with Carl and Linda Newman. Countless trips were spent in their RV. They spent summers in Kansas City and winters in Apache Junction, AZ where they met many wonderful friends. Louis loved his family, hunting, camping and trips to the casino. He also loved spending his Saturday mornings at Wolfe-Es Diner with the rail road crew and Bob Evans with his casino group.
Louis was also a faithful volunteer at the Lions Club.
Louis was preceded in death by his parents, first wife, Dolores Yendes, wife Malvina Adams, daughter Loralyn Delich, sisters Clara Louise Beckman and Vivian Hill.
Survivors include his children, Louis Adams, III of Edwardsville, KS and Lisa (Dennis) Trowbridge of Kansas City, KS; step son Neil (Gail) Albauer of Peculiar, MO; grandchildren, Amy Lumley of Kansas City, KS, Ashley Lumley of Bonner Springs, KS, Adam Delich of North Kansas City, MO , Alex Delich of North Kansas City, MO; Joe (Ashley) Trowbridge of Basehor, KS, Katie Trowbridge of Tonganoxie, KS, Sarah (Gary) Neumann of Bonner Springs, KS, Neil Albauer, Jr. of Grandview, MO, Brian Albauer of Palm Springs, CA, honorary granddaughter Arrolyn (Matt) Baker of Kansas City, KS, 20 great grandchildren, 6 great-great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
A special thank you to Carl and Linda Newman for the many hours you spent helping with that occasional casino run, trips to doctors you made and everything else you have assisted with these past years.
A visitation for Louis will be held Tuesday, February 21, 2023 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at Chapel Hill - Butler Funeral Home, 701 North 94th Street, Kansas City, KS 66112, followed by a funeral services at 10:00 AM.
