Linda Lee (States) King of independence, Missouri passed away at her home on March 22, 2020. She was 73 years old. Private Family services are scheduled at this time. A celebration of life will be held at a later date. Chapel Hill-Butler Funeral Home is entrusted with arrangements. Linda was born on February 2, 1947 in Kansas City, Kansas to William and Virginia (Loftiss) States. She grew up in Kansas City, Kansas and attended and graduated from Washington High School with the Class of 1965. After school, Linda started her career at Hallmark and worked her way up to management before retiring after 30+ years of service. Throughout the years, she was also very active and served as the President of Loretta Lynn and Margo Smith International Fan Club. Linda attended several churches in the Kansas City area: White Church Baptist, First Baptist Church Of Bethel, Victory Assembly Of God and West Haven Baptist Church. She was very devoted to her family and her pets.
Linda is preceded in death by her parents, Bill and Virginia States; and nephew, Luke McGhee.
Left to cherish her memory is her husband of 32 years, Jerry King; sister, Shelly McGhee and her husband, Ken; nephew, Jacob McGhee and his wife Kelsi; great-nephew; Jack McGhee; step-son, Rodney King and Valerie King; along with many wonderful friends.
