Larry Russell Blevins

Larry Russell Blevins of Kansas City, Kansas passed away at home on March 29, 2021. He was 77 years old. A visitation will be from 1:00 - 2:00 pm on Saturday, April 17, 2021 at Chapel Hill Butler Funeral Home, 701 North 94th Street, Kansas City, Kansas 66112. The graveside service will follow at 2:00 pm at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.

Larry was born on September 5, 1943 in Seymour, Missouri. Larry met Sharon Saltkill first in high school, then after reconnecting years later, started dating and were married in 1971. It was at this time that they relocated to Kansas City, Kansas. Larry worked and then retired from Colgate Palmolive after many years of dedicated service. He enjoyed going to the lake, fishing, and camping. He also loved his trips to Las Vegas. Larry enjoyed spending time outdoors and working with his hands.

Larry was preceded in death by his mother and father; 5 brothers; 2 sisters; grandson, Kayne Collins; and his beloved son, Mickey Blevins.

Left to cherish his memory is his wife, Sharon Blevins; daughters Tina Potts (Jeff), Shanna Novak (Tim), and Dawn Stroud; grandchildren, Jacob, Jerrica, Lindsay, Samantha, T.J., Tyler, McKenzie, Kaylin, Russell, Brady, and Evan; great grandchildren, Leeum, Gracie, Brynlee, Easton, Camden, Bowen, Ky, Nattie, Jonas, Nora, Layla, and Reagan; along with other family members and many dear friends.

Larry would generously donate to St. Jude for years and his wife, Sharon, will continue to send donations in his name. Memorial contributions may be made in Larry’s name to St. Jude's, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105, or online at www.stjude.org.
