It is with a heavy heart that we regretfully announce the passing of Kimberli Shaun Beck, of Kansas City, Kansas, on September 14, 2022. In her final days she was surrounded by her family and passed away peacefully.
Kim was born May 24, 1962 to Jack Boyer and Okema McCracken in Kansas City, Missouri, Kim lived most of her life in Kansas City, Kansas where she graduated from Washington High School in 1980. Kim married the love of her life, Gerald Beck on August 15, 1992 at the Bridal Cave in Branson, Missouri.
Kim was an avid camper and fisher and enjoyed spending time with her friends at Perry Lake, but her greatest enjoyment came when she got to spend time with her husband of 30 years, their 5 children, and 10 grandchildren. Weekends were regularly spent at the pool, cooking out and making lasting memories with family and friends.
Kim worked for the Wyandotte County Sheriff's office in the 1980's as a Mounted Park Ranger at Wyandotte County Lake, owned her own crowd and event security company that worked at many venues, concerts and events around the metro area, spent many years working at the family restaurant (Fasone's Supper Club), operated as a local coordinator for FEMA during the ice storm disaster of 1998, and retired from the Board of Public Utilities in 2019.
Kim was preceded in death by her father Jack Boyer, mother Okema Fasone, stepfather Gus Fasone, and nephew Scott Reynolds. She is survived by her husband, Gerald Beck; son's Brandon Grover and Nicholas Grover; stepdaughters Tiffany (Jeremy) Mische, Rachel (Michael) Smith, and Stasha (Eric) Ferguson; her grandchildren Drake Mische, Ryker Mische, Bristol Smith, Nolan Smith, Axel Mische, Maxyn Grover, Joey Grover, Nicholas Grover Jr., Harper Ferguson and Brooks Ferguson; her sister Denitra Anzek (Mark Turner); niece Tiffany (Brandon) Miller, and nephew Landon Anzek.
