Kenneth J. Harrison, 80, passed June 12, 2015. Visitation will be from 6:00-8:00 pm, Monday, June 16th at Chapel Hill – Butler Funeral Home, 701 N. 94th St., KCK. Graveside services with Honors will be 11:30 a.m., Tuesday, June 17th at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.
Kenneth was born January 21, 1935 in Kansas City, KS to Paul and Pearl Harrison. He served in the Navy until 1963 and then worked for Alllied Trucking and retired from National Byproducts Trucking Co. Kenneth loved trains and had a big train set up in his basement that was his pride and joy. He enjoyed camping and fishing, though he was known for once accidentally throwing back the whole day’s catch. Kenneth also enjoyed dancing and going to the casino.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife, Glenna Harrison; his second wife, Wanda Harrison; and several siblings.
Kenneth is survived by his children, Lisa Price (L.G. Tumbleson), Susan Williams (Terry), Deborah Tomblin (Kenneth), and Vernon Cash; his sister, Barbara “Tootie” Hewitt; and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and other friends and family.
