Johnnie Kay Smith, or KayKay to all of her nieces and nephews or her most treasured name, G-ma which all of her grandchildren called her. Johnnie Kay's maiden name is Sport. She was 48 years old. She lived at 8852 E. Terrace, Raytown, Mo 64133. She passed away on Monday, 6 June 2022 at her home. There will be a celebration of Johnnie Kay's life on 9 June 2022. This celebration is a family affair. Contact family members for further information on the celebration party. Johnnie Kay's desire was to be cremated and her family to celebrate her. Johnnie Kay did not have life insurance therefore, the family is asking in lieu of flowers to please donate to the go-fund-me account on Facebook to cover the cost of the burial.
Johnnie Kay Smith was born to John Lee and Linda May (Kepner) Sport, on 30th July 1973 at Providence St Margaret's hospital in Kansas City, Kansas. She attended FL Schlagle High School and received her GED at a later date. She attended Glad Tidings Assembly of God Church for twelve years. Johnnie's proudest achievements were her five precious children. Britney Nicole Stuart, Cieanna Marie Yang, Tyrone Lamont Stuart Jr, Terrell Lemont Stuart, and Mekell Anthony Irwin Stuart. Nothing brought her greater joy than her grandbabies. She loved them and could not spend enough time with each of them. Johnnie began attending church services at Highland Towers on 9th street. She became best friends with the pastor and his wife, Sister Sherlyn. She attended services for five years. Sister Sherlyn was not allowed to sing because she couldn't carry a note so Johnnie took the mic every Sunday from her and lead the choir in song worship.
Johnnie Kay Smith was preceded in death by her son, Tyrone Lemont Stuart Jr, and her father, John Lee Sport. She is survived by her mother, Linda May Sport, her brothers Clark William Gerber and Robert Glenn Gerber and her two sisters, Charlotte Ann Lewis and Tabitha Lynn Brownlee. Johnnie Kay had seven nephews and seven nieces. Johnnie Kay is also survived by four of her children, Britney Nicole Stuart, Cieanna Marie Yang, Terrell Lemont Stuart and Mekell Anthony Irwin Stuart. She has ten grandchildren whom she adored and loved spending time with them.
