John Jobe, 85 years young, passed away on October 28th, 2023, in Naples, Florida.
John is survived by his siblings: Chuck Jobe (Eva), Patricia Jobe Roland, Mike Jobe (Candy), Freda Hoover (Stanley). Children; Connie Saylor (Dennis), Pamela Clearwater, Patrick Kelly (Kimberly), Robert Jobe (Cindy), Brian Jobe (Kelly), Deana Abeln (Gregory).
John is also survived by 26 grandchildren, 41 great grandchildren and 2 great- great grandchildren.
John was born in Kansas City, Kansas and soon after graduation served in the United States Navy as a First-Aid Attendant, separating at the U.S. Naval Hospital, in Camp Lejeune, North Carolina. John went on to work as a fulltime Firefighter and retired with the Kansas City Kansas Fire Department. After retirement John worked as a part-time Security Guard, in Independence Missouri. John’s favorite hobbies were bow hunting, bowling, and golfing. John also enjoyed square dancing with his late wife, Opal. John was a member of Naples Church in Naples, Florida.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Saturday May 4, 2024; 1 PM at Chapel Hill Butler Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens in Kansas City, Kansas. The visitation will be from 12-1 PM Saturday at the funeral home. Committal Services and Military Honors will follow the Celebration of Life.
