Jason R. Harrell, 42, of Kansas City, Kansas, passed away suddenly on August 7, 2015. A Memorial Visitation will be held from 6:00-8:00 p.m., Thursday, August 13th at Chapel Hill – Butler Funeral Home, 701 North 94th Street, Kansas City, Kansas 66112. Jason was born November 9, 1972 in Kansas City, Kansas to Donald and Margaret Harrell. He worked for several years as a commercial roofer and was a member of the Local #20 before deciding to attend culinary school where he could pursue his dream of being a chef. Jason married the love of his life, Sherry Bolyard in 1995 and starting their family and watching his children and then grandchildren grow up was the greatest joy in his life. He loved spending time with his friends, hanging out and watching the Jayhawks or the Royals. Jason also enjoyed fishing and hunting when he could. He was a man full of dreams and ideas and his family and friends will miss him terribly.
Jason was preceded in death by his father. He is survived by his mother, Margaret Harrell; his beloved wife of nineteen years, Sherry Harrell; his children, Zachary Harrell and Chelsey Vanderwerf; his grandson, Brayden Vanderwerf; his sister, Dawn Harrell (David Henke); his brother, Jerrad Harrell (Christina); as well as nieces, nephews and other family and many friends.
