James Hinkle, age 71, of Bonner Springs, Kansas passed away on Monday, December 26, 2022 at his home with his family by his side. He was born November 9, 1951 in Kansas City, Kansas to Jeannine (Dobbins) and Samuel Hinkle.
He lived in Piper Kansas for many years. He attended Washington High School in Kansas City, Kansas. He was a business owner and Founder of Monument Exterior Designs. A family owned business for over 20 years. Specializing in commercial suites and buildings he built lots of Great Clips and different buildings.
James enjoyed watching football, movies and spending time with his grandchildren.
He and his first wife Kelly Hinkle had 2 children Jimmy Paul Hinkle (son) and Samantha Hinkle (daughter) and his second wife, Donna Hinkle, three daughters: Janet Thrasher, Kristy Soptick and Jamie Brann were James step daughters.
James loved his family and his grandchildren. He is survived by his brothers: Samuel R. Hinkle and Timothy (Myra) Hinkle. His daughter: Samantha Hinkle, Stepdaughters: Janet (Jason) Thrasher, Kristy Soptick and Jamie (Tommy) Brann. Grandchildren: Amber Isabell, Isaac Isabell, Quintin Hinkle, Zoey Hinkle and Owain Isabell; four step grandchildren: Katie Thrasher, Jace Thrasher, PJ Soptick and Chance Brann. Niece: Jeannine Paxton and six Nephews: Sam Hinkle, Ain Hinkle, Spencer Hinkle, Danny Paxton, Chris Paxton and Matt Paxton.
James was preceded in death by his father, Samuel E. Hinkle, mother, Jeannine Hinkle, sister Karyn Paxton, wife Donna Hinkle, sister-in-law Denise Hinkle and son, Jimmy Paul Hinkle.
He loved his tools. This man owned so many tools and different things. He love to go camping with the family. He loves, riding his Kabota around and buying all the stuff for the yard that he didn’t really use, but he had to have his toys.
A visitation for James will be held Friday, January 6, 2023 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Chapel Hill - Butler Funeral Home, 701 North 94th Street, Kansas City, Kansas 66112, followed by a memorial services at 7:00 PM.
