Irene Mae (Goetz) Williams, age 90, passed away on Wednesday, October 9, 2013, at Shawnee-Heartland Assisted Living in Shawnee, Kansas. Irene was preceded in death by her husband, George W. Williams, and children David Williams and Carrie Williams. Irene was born on March 23, 1923 in Kansas City, Kansas, a graduate of St. Anthony's grade school and Wyandotte High School, parishioner of St. Patrick's Catholic Church, employee of Ball's grocery store and avid bowler. She is survived by her sister, Anna Breitenstein; three sons and their wives: Gary and Shari Williams of Mercedes, Texas; Kevin and Geri Williams of Piper, Kansas; and Mark and Marian Williams of Lenexa, Kansas; seven grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren. Services will be at St. Patrick Catholic Church, 1086 N. 94th St., KCK on Saturday, October 12, 2013; visitation at 10:00 am and Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00. Burial will follow the Mass at Mt. Calvary Catholic Cemetery, 38th & State, KCK. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Patrick Catholic Church. Arrangements: Chapel Hill-Butler, 701 N. 94th St., KCK.
