Hazel Forbes

Hazel Madine Forbes, 91, of KCK, passed away August 14, 2014. Visitation will be from 10:00-11:00 a.m., Monday, August 18th at Chapel Hill-Butler Funeral Home, 701 N. 94th St., KCK with funeral services to follow at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Interment will follow in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.

Hazel was born April 29, 1923 in Seymour, Missouri to Charles and Mary Rearick. She grew up in the Seymour area and married Bill Forbes. Hazel took was a homemaker and was a member of the Moose Lodge and the bowling league. She loved to crochet, cook, bake, read and do word search puzzles. Most of all, she loved her children and grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Bill Forbes and her parents, Charles and Mary Rearick.

Hazel is survived by her sons, Michael Forbes (Jill), and Mark Forbes (Sandy); her daughter, Julie Bernard (Robert); her grandchildren, Amy Haller, Ryan Bernard, Keaton Forbes (Lauren), Garrett Forbes (Amy) and Thomas Forbes; as well as her great-grandchildren, Ryder and Jack Forbes.
