Gene Lindsay, 67, of Kansas City, Kansas, passed away peacefully on June 15th, 2022. Gene was born in July 1954 in Springfield, Missouri to Norma and Gene Lindsay. He was a strong individual, in both muscle and mind, who everyone knew they could rely on. His sarcasm and wit were known to all. He served in the US Marine Corps, Force Recon, from 1972-1976 where he received the National Defense Service Medal, Good Conduct Medal, Expert Rifle Badge, and the Navy/Marine Corps Parachute Insignia. Professionally, he owned and operated salvage yards, the most recent being Pit Stop Auto Parts, while his spare time was spent on his motorcycle.
Gene was preceded in death by his mom, Norma Vannoy, and stepdad Ernest Vannoy. He is survived by his father, Gene Lindsay, his stepmother, Leona Lindsay, his sister, Rebecca Jones, his children Steven Lindsay and Alyse Villarreal, and his grandchildren Christian and Damian.
A visitation will be held at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 18th at Chapel Hill Funeral Home, 701 North 94th Street, Kansas City, Kansas, 66112.
