Florencio Campos Padilla, 91, of Edwardsville, KS, passed away Saturday, October 12 at Golden Living Center. Prayer services will be held at 5:00 p.m., Monday, October 14th at Chapel Hill-Butler, 701 N. 94th St., KCK.
Florencio was born February 23, 1922 in San Juan, Mexico to Martin Padilla and Dorothea Campos. He was raised in the Catholic faith and worked as a farmer for most of his life. Florencio married Maria Paz and they shared 31 years of marriage. He loved working outdoors, taking care of his livestock and garden. Florencio enjoyed going to the rodeo and horse races. He will be greatly missed by his loving family.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Martin and Dorothea, his first wife Julia, his son, Miguel Padilla and two brothers and two sisters.
Florencio is survived by his wife Maria, his children, Maria de Jesus, Anacelia Padilla, Martin Padilla, Jose de Jesus, Florencio Padilla, Adriana Padilla, Juan Padilla, Alejandro Padilla and Alejandra Padilla; as well as a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great great-grandchildren.
