Florence J. Stevens

Florence J. Stevens, beloved Aunt and friend, age 93, passed away on June 9, 2016 at Olathe Medical Center. She was born December 8, 1922 on a farm in Syracuse, Nebraska. Florence was preceded in death by her parents, George and Murl Stevens, brother, George Stevens and sister, Pauline Turley-Brown, 3 nephews, Ralph Turley, Paul Turley and Christopher Turley and 3 nieces, Virginia Willis, Joann Clute and Christine Potter. She is survived by her nephew, Steven Turley, 2 nieces, Dana and Carla Stevens, and several great nieces and nephews. Florence made her home in Kansas City, KS for more than 60 years. She worked as a supervisor at Betty Rose Coat & Suit for over 40 years and retired from Tennant Electronics as an assembler. Florence enjoyed sewing and art, sitting in her dining room finishing a quilt or doodling on a piece a paper. She was a good friend to many and touch others with her kindness and generosity.

Visitation will be held at Chapel Hill-Butler Funeral Home, 701 North 94th Street, Kansas City, KS 66112 on Tuesday, June 14th from 6-8.

Funeral services followed by burial will be held at Chapel Hill-Butler Funeral Home on Wednesday at 10am.
