Sunday, January 2nd at the Chapel Hill-Butler Funeral Home. Committal Graveside Services will be 10:00 A.M. Tuesday, January 4th in Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 3 P.M. Sunday at the funeral home before the Funeral Service. In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions be made to City Union Mission, Harvesters, or the Lutheran Hour. Emma was born April 1, 1917 in Kansas City, KS to Henry and Mary (Mueller) Eisenberger, and she was a lifelong area resident. Flowers were Emma’s passion, thinking of them as God’s Miracles, so it was natural that she worked at Mason’s Nursery in Kansas City, KS until she was 70. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting, and making dried flower arrangements, giving them to friends and family members, and selling them at craft shows. Emma loved attending church and taking care of her family. She was a member of Grace Lutheran Church in Kansas City, KS, but most recently attended Christ Lutheran Church in Platte Woods, MO. She was preceded in death by her husband, Andrew B. Bondank in 1978, and her son, Kenneth A. Bondank in 2008. She is survived by a multitude of friends and family that loved her joyful spirit, including 1 nephew, Larry Scroggins of Kansas City, MO; 2 nieces, Sandra Brant of Lathrop, MO and Debra Goedel of Memphis, TN; a sister-in-law, Gertie Bondank of Kansas City, KS; and her best friend, Betty Schultz of Kansas City, MO. Condolences may be left at www.chapelhill-butler.com. Arrangements are under the direction of Chapel Hill-Butler Funeral Home, 701 North 94th Street in Kansas City, KS, (913) 334-3366.
