Eddy Lee States, 64, Kansas City, Kansas passed away August 14, 2018. Visitation will be from 1-2 PM, with a funeral service at 2 PM, Friday, August 17, 2018 at Chapel Hill-Butler Funeral Home, 701 N. 94th St., Kansas City, Kansas. Interment will be immediately following in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.
Eddy was born in Kansas City, Kansas to William Warren and Dorothy States. He graduated from Turner High School in 1973. He joined the United States Navy in 1978 and retired from there in 1995. Eddy always wanted to drive a truck and in his final years, he was finally able to for Double V.V.
Eddy enjoyed fishing and camping in his spare time. He also liked to spend time with his family and friends.
He was preceded in passing his father, William Warren States; brother, John States; and sister, Alice Kiani.
Eddy is survived by his wife, Norma; daughter, Missey (Jared) Payne of Greenville, TX; grandchildren, Ethan, Trinity and Caden of Greenville, TX; mother, Dorothy States of Kansas City, KS; brother, Bill (Ann) States of Branson, MO; brother, Gary States of Kansas City, KS; nephew, John Paul (Sarah) States of Missouri; nephew, Afshean (Jessi) Kaykhossrokini of Jacksonville, AR; nephew, Jamshid (Rebecca) Kaykhossrokini of Jacksonville, AR; and brother-in-law, Howard Kiani of Jacksonville, AR.
