Sissy, my everyday best friend—I will miss our movie dates, your good cooking, dancing around the house, and playing hide and seek with Braylan.  We will miss walking in the park and going swimming in the summer.  I will try to be strong for mom and Braylan, just like you would.  I will see you again one day.  I love you always and forever, PERIOD!!!

As their Grandpa, I was blessed to have baptized Desiree, along with her brother Chase, as members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. I will never forget her beautiful smile as she came up out of the water.  I knew in my heart she was a very sweet, special, and precious daughter of God.  Everyone who shared thoughts in memory of her, mentioned her infectious and beaming smile.  I am also blessed to know where Desiree is now and that wonderful smile and sweet spirt is being shared with the hosts of heaven who received her home, with embraces and tears of joy.  I would like to share the words of a previous Apostle of the Lord Jesus Christ, Joseph B Wirthlin that I know in my heart to be true:
Every tear today
Will eventually
Be returned a
Hundredfold with
Tears of rejoicing
And gratitude!


I was blessed to baptize Desiree, along with her brother Chase, as members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints many years ago.  I was able to feel her true character--she was pure in heart  and had one of the loveliest smiles I've seen, and I knew in my heart she was a very sweet, special, and precious daughter of God.  I know where she is today and also know her beautiful smile is being enjoyed by the hosts of heaven who were there to welcome her home with loving embraces and tears of joy. I share the words of a previous Apostle of The Lord Jesus Christ, Joseph B Wirthlin, that I know to be true:

     Every tear today
     will eventually
     be returned a

     tears of rejoicing
     and gratitude!



From Aunt Christa:  I thought about Desiree when I read this poem.

WHEN GOD CREATED DAUGHTERS

He took very special care to find the precious treasures that would make them sweet and fair….
He gave them smiles of angels, 
Then explored the midnight skies
And took a bit of stardust
To make bright and twinkling eyes…
He fashioned them from sugar
And a little bit of spice,
He gave them sunny laughter and everything that is nice…
He smiled when He made daughters,
Because He knew He had Created love and happiness
For every mom and dad.


I am honored to share a middle name with this precious angel—Monique.  There are so many things I think of when I think about Desiree.  The first is her beautiful and infectious smile.  Her smile would light up the room when she walked into it.  You couldn’t help but smile yourself when you saw hers.
That little tiny voice—so sweet and pure.  I remember every year from the time she was very young when I would ask her what she wanted for Christmas and it was always, “A PINK PURSE AND MAKEUP—specifically LIPSTICK”.  Kelly just told me when she was going through Desiree’s purse that she didn’t find just one or two lipsticks—she found over fifty!

Desiree loved Barbie Dolls growing up—one Christmas, her cousin Jordyn cut her hand and passed out while helping Desiree open up one of her Barbie Dolls.
Desiree loved going to Grammy and Grandpa’s house and riding those big horses.  She looked so itty bitty on them but she loved it—she was never scared to hop up on them and ride.
She recently decided she wanted to become a nurse from the experiences she had going to work with her mother.
Kelly told me a story about Desiree when she got her driver’s license and how the DMV put on it that she was 4 feet 1 inches tall instead of her true height of 4 feet 9 inches—she was really upset about them shorting her those 8 inches.  Desiree may have been little but in my opinion she was mighty in LOVE, PATIENCE, KINDNESS, FORGIVENESS, HAPPINESS, JOY and BEAUTY.
Christa concluded—“I love you Desiree”.  And I also know she loved and cared about her family and friends, and would want any of you who may be struggling as she did, not to keep it hidden, but to seek the help that is needed!

Desiree never failed to brighten up a room or make me smile.  She always put others before herself and I always looked up to her for that.  I will never forget a message she sent me when I told her I didn’t have money to buy her a gift for her birthday last year—she said , “Thanks Dee, but the best gift is you being my brother, I love you and thanks for the birthday wishes.”  I love her so much and I know she will be with me in my heart until it’s my time to join her in heaven.

Momma’s baby girl and always my cheerleader—the one who lit up any room she was in, with glitter and bright colors. She was my everything and the one person I could share anything with. She was always full of joy—always looking out for her brothers, her sister and myself.  I will miss seeing her in the bathroom, sitting on the sink doing her makeup.  I will miss her picking out my clothes and shoes—she was my little “FASHIONISTA”!  I’m so glad I was able to watch her try on prom dresses last week.  I will miss opening my Amazon cart and seeing the thousands of dollars’ worth of items she wanted.  I will live through her style and her love for everyone and everything she crossed paths with.  And lastly, I say this to my precious daughter Desiree: “This is not goodbye, but a very difficult, I’ll see you again—and until then, I will forever be jealous of the Angels who are with you!”

That was my best friend fr I been knowing her since 6th grade ,we was close asf she helped me lose weight n was on of them people that I really felt love from ima miss you short short❤️‍🩹⭐️

Sweet Desiree! I will miss seeing your beautiful face at all the family events. I hope you know how much you are loved and missed. Your untimely passing will leave a void in all of the hearts of those that love you. Including mine! ❤️ I know that your spirit and soul will live on! Watch over your mama and siblings! Rest well beautiful babygirl! ❤️

I love you sweet girl ❤️ god only shared you with us for a little while but the memories of you will last forever. One day we will all be together dancing in the sky!

Kelly and family I am so very sorry for the loss of your sweet Desiree. I wish I would have known her. She was such a beautiful girl. My thoughts and prayers will continue to be with you all.

I only met you once but you're a very beautiful person 💓 and the impact that you had on my sister's life is very impressive. They told me that my sons loved you and I love you for loving them. Thank you for blessing me with your presence and watch over us down here Angel.

Although I hadn’t seen you recently, I watched you grow into a beautiful girl since you were a baby. You will be missed by so many Desiree. Watch over your Mom and family and remind them that you’ll always be near. ♥️
