Deloris was united in marriage to Charles Owsley on December 22, 1960 in Edwardsville, Kansas. She was a wife and mother for many years then went into the workforce where she worked in the clerical field until retirement. She loved to volunteer and be involved with many things. She loved her morning exercise/coffee classes and was ecstatic about her new great grandson. She was a long standing member of the Church of Christ in Linwood, KS., helping to start the congregation along with her husband and others.
Deloris is survived by her two children and their spouses, Craig and Kelly Owsley, and Rhonda and Phil Clark; two grandchildren and their spouses, Cody and Lydia Owsley and Cally and Brian Wood; one great grandson, Jacoby Wood; along with many other relatives and friends.
A visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 5th from 6-7pm with a funeral service to follow at 7pm, at Chapel Hill-Butler Funeral Home, 701 N. 94th St., Kansas City, Kansas. She will be laid to rest (no service) on Thursday January 6th in Durbin Cemetery, Hartville, Mo at 1pm.
In lieu of flowers, contributions are suggested to St. Jude’s Children Hospital or the American Cancer Society.
