David H. Mahoney was born in Osakis Minnesota, with his four brothers and five sisters moved to Callao Missouri in 1954. In 1955 he met his loving wife Norma L. Lovland. They were married on August 18, 1957. They had a son, David Lee on January 2, 1959. They moved together to Kansas City, Kansas. Daughter, Carla Sue, was born on January 12, 1965. He is survived by three siblings; John Mahoney, Don Mahoney, and Shirley Burkhardt. David has 9 grandchildren; Lee Ann, Matthew, Joshua, Brittany, Brett, Kyle, Miriah, Mawi, and Suan. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends. David was well known for his generosity, humor and his relationship with God. David was very involved with church and mentored many through their journey of faith. He had a passion for the Bus ministry during the 1970’s. Every Sunday 40-50 kids would aboard the bus to church. With increase participation they commandeered a second bus. David served as Deacon at Riverview Baptist Church, and at Judson Baptist Church. He was a member of The Promise Keepers. He enjoyed camping, working on cars, planting and tending to his gardens.
