Dana Mashell Blair, 37, of Bonner Springs, KS., passed away at home on Saturday, May 14, 2011. She will always be remembered as a beloved daughter, loving sister, aunt and friend. Dana was born on March 3, 1974 in Kansas City, KS., to Gerald D. and Marsha Kay (Eldridge) Blair. She lived in the Kansas City area all of her life. Dana graduated from Washington High School in 1992. She attended Kansas City Kansas Community College and earned an Associates Degree in Business. Prior to her death, she was pursuing a nursing degree. Dana enjoyed Nascar racing, collecting memorabilia of Jeff Gordon. Before the opening of the Kansas Speedway she was given the opportunity to drive around the race track. Throughout the years, she found comfort caring for her pets. Survivors include: her parents, Gerald D. and Kay Blair, siblings: Shannon Auman and her husband John of Linwood, KS., Russell Blair of Kansas City, KS., Kim Truluck of St. George, GA. and Kevin Blair of Jacksonville, Fl. Left behind to cherish her memory are her four nieces: Mary Auman, Tiffany Henderson (Paul), Hannah Auman, Taylor Truluck and nephew: Zach Truluck. She will be sadly missed by her three great nieces: Kyleigh, Lexis and Meriska, two great nephews: Jordan and Bradley. Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Friday, May 20, 2011 at the Chapel Hill-Butler Funeral Home. Burial in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. Friends may call from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Thursday, May 19, 2011 at the funeral home.
