Catherine Claire Moore

Cathy married George R. Moore in 1983. Together, they shared a rich life full of love, enjoying time with family and friends, making music together, and spending time with their beloved Rottweilers. They were members of Cornerstone Church.

A proud alumni of Wyandotte High School Class of 1974, Cathy attended reunions regularly. She went on to further her education at the University of St. Mary and later worked as a Purchasing Accountant for Lee Mathews, where she built lasting friendships and was admired for her dedication.

Cathy was preceded in death by her parents, George and Ethel Price, her nephew Michael Price, and her godson Zach Magri. She leaves behind her loving husband, George; her son, Jeremy Hart, and his wife, Shawna; her grandson, Andrew Hart; her stepdaughter Melissa Dodd; her brother, William Price, and his wife, Nichole; her sister, Jeanne Price; her nephews, Alex Reid, Billy Moore and his wife Jamie, and Billy Price; her nieces, Nicki Moore, and Josie Reid; and great nieces and great nephews.

The family will hold an open-casket visitation to honor Cathy’s memory on Thursday, November 14, 2024, from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. at Chapel Hill - Butler Funeral Home (701 N. 94th Street, Kansas City, Kansas). This will be a time for friends and family to come together to pay their respects and celebrate Cathy’s life. A funeral service will follow at 11:00 a.m., with a graveside service immediately afterward.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to the Leavenworth County Humane Society, a cause close to Cathy’s heart.
