Carol May Margaret Phillips, 81, of Kansas City, Kansas, passed away April 13, 2011 in Olathe, KS. Funeral service will be 12:00 Noon, Saturday, April 16 at the Chapel Hill-Butler Funeral Home, 701 N. 94th Street, Kansas City, Kansas. Interment will follow in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. Friends may call from 11:00am until time of service Saturday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Presbyterian Manor, 7850 Freeman, Kansas City, Kansas 66112. Carol was born January 4, 1930 in Kansas City, Kansas, the daughter of John Oliver and Jeannie Margaret (Hancock) Cooper, and she was a lifelong area resident. Carol was a member of the Maywood Community Church, Kansas City, Kansas. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband of 50 years: William D. Phillips; brothers: Kenneth Oliver and Donald Hancock Cooper. Survivors include her sons: Craig Allen Phillips of Kansas City, Kansas and Mark Steven Phillips and his wife Kimberly of Olathe, Kansas; grandson: Robert Anthony Phillips of Knob Noster, Missouri; and brother: John Dale Cooper of Kansas City, Kansas.
