Bonnie Kay Lawrence, 64, of Lawrence, Kansas, passed away Thursday, October 30th at Lawrence Memorial Hospital. Memorial services will be 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, November 4th at Village West Family Church, 2205 North 102nd Street, Kansas City, Kansas 66109; with family greeting time from 9:30-11:00 a.m. preceding the service at the church. All are welcome to a reception following the 11:00 a.m. service at the church. Private family inurnment will be held at a later date. Bonnie was born September 30, 1950 in Marysville, Kansas to Marvin and Delores Lutjemeier, who have preceded her in passing. Her family soon moved to Kansas City, Kansas and she graduated from Washington High School. Bonnie worked as an insurance agent for over 20 years and finished her career working for Hollywood Casino. She loved to quilt, sew, cross-stitch, and she could often be found making dollhouses and other toys for her grandkids. Bonnie enjoyed riding horses, but her favorite thing in the world was spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband, Paul Roberts; her sister, Carol Janes-Baker; her sons, David Lawrence and his wife Barbara and Shane Lawrence; her step-children, Amy Freeman and Bryan Roberts and his wife Stacey and her seven beloved grandchildren, Shayla, Morgan, Samantha, Alyssa, Skylar, Sydnie and Alex.
