Bill D. Denham, 84, passed away January 28, 2015. A visitation will be held from 4:00-6:00PM on Sunday, February 1st at Chapel Hill-Butler Funeral Home, 701 N. 94th Street, Kansas City, Kansas 66112. The funeral service will be 10:00 AM Monday, February 2nd at Chapel Hill-Butler Funeral Home followed by burial with military honors in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.
Bill was born January 13, 1931 to Eugene and Goldie (Bostian) Denham in Morrilton, Arkansas. He served during the Korean War in the United States Army. Bill lived in Kansas City, Kansas where he married Mildred “Mickie” Nickles.
Bill worked for Owens-Corning for 37 years as a warehouseman. He was a member of the White Church Christian Church, the Gladiola Chapter 459 Order of Eastern Star and a Past Master of the Westgate Masonic Lodge #438.
He is preceded in death by his parents; his son, Tom Denham and 2 brothers. He leaves behind to cherish his memory, his wife Mickie of 58 years; sons, “C.R.” Buddy (Robin) Denham of Lee’s Summit, Missouri and Don (Jenny) Denham of Kansas City, KS; daughters, Phyllis (Ted) Franks of Luzerne, Michigan and Susan (Duane) Telgemeier of Kansas City, Kansas; grandchildren, Kelly, Kristy, Elizabeth, Jodi, Bill, Jesse and Rachel; 8 great-grandchildren, and his sister, Betty Williams of Bigelow, Arkansas.
