Beverly “Bev” Taylor, 81, of Marshfield, MO, passed away Dec. 26, 2018 at home. A visitation will be held from 11:00am-2:00pm, Fri., Jan. 4th with a graveside service to follow at 2:00pm, all at Chapel Hill – Butler Funeral Home and Cemetery, 701 N. 94th St., Kansas City, KS 66112. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
Beverly was born Feb. 22, 1937 in Olive, MO to Peter and Rebenia Wilkerson. She graduated high school and was joined in marriage to Ralph Taylor on July 17, 1957. Beverly was a former member of Grace Lutheran and was a very active volunteer at the church. She also was the quintessential housewife and took care of a lot of children in the neighborhood. Beverly also enjoyed crochet and playing card games, especially Uno.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Ralph in 2015; her son-in-law, J.R. Darting; and her sisters, Geneva Rollins, Margie Vandelinde, Mary Page, Avis Forrester, and Nora Lee Young.
Beverly is survived by her children, Maggie Darting (late J.R. Darting), Thomas J. Taylor (Lana), Fred Taylor, and Noel Taylor (Kim); her eight grandchildren, Army SSG at Ft. Drum, NY Tim Martin (Stephanie), Kyle Martin (Angel), Air Force Tech SGT at Ft. Scott, IL Thomas M. Taylor (Toni), Kelli Barnett (Tyler), Daniel Taylor, Alexis Taylor, Brandon Taylor and Quentin Taylor; her six great-grandchildren; and her siblings, Bob Wilkerson and Phyllis Williams.
