On Tuesday, June 7, 2011, a much beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, cousin, aunt and friend passed away peacefully at the family home in Kansas City, Kansas. Her name: Bethelena “Beth” Williams. Beth was born in Ozark, Arkansas and grew up in nearby Huntown. She fell in love and married Francis Earl Williams of Clarksville, Arkansas on April 28, 1960. She has been a resident of Kansas City, Kansas since 1970.
She is preceded in death by her mother and father: Nettie and Jeff Thompson and an infant baby brother. She leaves behind her husband of 51 years: Francis Earl; sons: Jeffery Earl of Pleasant Valley, Missouri and Kevin Francis of Kansas City, Kansas; grandchildren: Derek Michael and wife Ashley, Jeffrey Francis and Jennifer Elizabeth; great-grandchildren: Katelyn Nicole, Brock Michael and Aiden Thomas. She also leaves behind four siblings, brother: Elwood Thompson and his wife Frances of Kansas City, Kansas and sisters: Evelyn Sue of Independence, Missouri, Caroline Faye of Springfield, Missouri and Karen Kaye of Olathe, Kansas as well as numerous and much beloved nieces and nephew. Her dear friends Rick, Deb and Margaret should also be included in her survivors, as well as dear beloved cousin Cathy Nunn of Lee’s Summit, Missouri.
Funeral service will be 5:00 p.m., Saturday at the Chapel Hill-Butler Funeral Home, 701 N. 94th Street, Kansas City, Kansas where visitation will be from 3-5 at the funeral home.
