Born in 1936, Bertha Joan McCall. Joann’s parents, both deceased, William James McCall, father, and Beulah Erma Bromagem, mother.
Joann had the sweetest personality. Always willing to help anyone who needed it. She loved kids even though she did not have kids of her own, everybody’s kids were her kids. She also loved her dogs. She especially loved one she named Shotsie. Joann loved working with ceramics. Going to garage sales was fun for her but she would stay in the car, while her sister did the actual wheeling and dealing.
Joann met the love of her life Billy J. Kresyman at Potters Drive-In in Oklahoma City, OK. Billy was stationed there at Tinker AF Base. They knew each other for two weeks before they were married in a double wedding ceremony with her brother Billy Wayne McCall in Oklahoma City, on November 15, 1955.
She lived the Military wife life traveling with Bill until he retired after serving for almost 23 years. Bill then got a job with Northrup where he became an instructor teaching Saudi Arabians jet and ground mechanics. They lived in Saudi Arabia for a few years then back to America. He found work at Colgate and after several years retired and settled in Kansas City, during the last years of their life they moved to Oklahoma City. They remained married for 65 years until Bill’s death on July 4, 2020
Joann is survived by one sister, Wanda Bertella, and one brother, James Bromagem. She had a total of 6 siblings, four sisters and, two brothers. She was preceded in death by four other siblings Jeana Clifton, Carol Butler, Joyce Redding, and Billy McCall.
She was loved by all who knew her and will be missed greatly.
