Arthur Kramer, 91, of Smithville, passed away July 6, 2017. Visitation will be from 10:30-11:30am, Tues., July 11, 2017, with Mass of Christian Burial to follow at 11:30am all at St. Patrick Catholic Church, 1086 N. 94th St., Kansas City, KS 66112. Interment will follow in St. Patrick Catholic Church Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to AseraCare Hospice.
Arthur was born April 24, 1926 in Yates Center, KS to James and Lula Mae Kramer. He graduated from Turner High School and served in the US Navy during WWII in the Asiatic-Pacific Campaign. Arthur married the love of his life, Dorothy Miller, on June 5, 1948. He joins her in Heaven after 6 months and 3 days apart. Arthur worked for twenty-seven years at Deluxe Check Printers. He enjoyed playing poker, pitch, and checkers and was a prize-winning golfer and had at least one hole-in-one to his name.
Arthur was preceded in death by his parents; his beloved wife, Dorothy Kramer; his sister, Mary Ann Millert; and his brothers, James Kramer, Robert Kramer, Harold Kramer, and an infant brother.
He is survived by his daughter, Barbara Greene; his son, Michael Kramer and his wife Gayle; his grandson, Christopher Smith and his wife Laura and their children, Kason, Macklyn, and Finley; his granddaughter, Jennifer Smith and her children, Jordan, Miranda, and Ashlyn; and his sister-in-law, Elaine Kramer.
