Amy always had a smile on her face and spoke to everyone who came into her shop.  Amy was that special person  who you'd never forgot.  She was sweet, cute, and everything rolled into one. My condolences to your family Amy.  We became good friends in high school and went to AVTS Cosmetology together our senior year. Here we are at graduation. We were so young with our whole lives ahead of us. We had fun. I'm sorry we lost touch. I'm glad you are healed now and in the arms of the father in heaven. Until we see each other again. .. Wow what a shock.! Amy was a very cool person. She cut my hair for a lot of years.  We lived across  the street from each other for several years.
She will be missed by a lot of people that crossed paths with her. She was always someone that was full of life and enjoyed a great time. 
She was fun to be around and loved life.

I am so sad to see you go "Home".
You cut my hair for the entire 24 years that we lived across the street from Sheer Impressions before we moved to Olathe. I would only have to wheel a short distance across State Avenue in my electric wheelchair (without getting hit!).  I never had to tell you how to cut it, because you always new how I liked it.  I would only have to let you know how much to take off depending on the how hot or cold it was going to be.  I remember how we would laugh and joke about things the whole time you were cutting.  And how I could never remember your daughters names...so, you just affectionately referred to them as kid A and kid B because that was their first initials.  
Wyandotte will not be the same without your salon.

I will be sure and make an extra bottle of my homemade Christmas Kahlua in your honor this year and raise a glass to you in Heaven!!

  Amy was extraordinary , a free spirit, a sister who knew what she wanted out of life. She set examples for others. As mother and grandmother, a friend, even co-worker.  Enjoying this  world with loving caring heart. She always had a fun personality, even if you  just met her, or you knew her all your life.

Amy had an incredible way of always  making people feel comfortable. You could talk to her about anything, and I loved talking to her about nothing. Even though it had been years since we had the chance to catch up, everytime we did, it was like we had never missed a beat.

My sweet cousin Amy, I haven't been able to stop thinking about you ever since I heard you were sick. I keep hearing your sweet voice in my head saying "Hi" or "How's your mom?" "How's Todd?" or "How's your boys?" We would always catch up when I would come get my hair cut or if we seen each other at a family function. I keep remembering your beautiful smile. You were always smiling it seemed. You had a way of making me (and probably everyone) feel perfectly safe with how soft and kind you always spoke. You always made me feel so relaxed, so loved and cared for. I loved being your little cousin. You are one of the people I would always wonder if you would be there, whatever the function was. I always looked forward to seeing you and talking with you. I'm going to miss that... I am going to miss YOU very much Amy! I love you 💖 See you again on the other side. From Lords and Ladies to your own shop we became friends. For 43 years you cut my hair every five weeks. We lived through our lives sharing about our family and kids.  You did my wedding hair and shaved my head before Chemo 25 years ago. I love you my friend and you being gone is a hole that will never be filled. Amy was such a great friend from back in our childhood days. We were always friends from kindergarten to graduation at WHS. It seems I only got to see her at reunions and this picture is of the last time I got to visit with her at our 40th. It's a very small group of Vance Elementary classmates. Whenever we would see each other it was as if we had just talked last week. I am flooded with memories of good times when we were kids. I wish all of her family and friends peace and comfort in knowing how much so many people thought of her and how loved she was by all who had the pleasure to know her.  

My dear cousin/friend Amy.  You were as beautiful on the inside as you were on the outside.  How lucky I was to work at the shop all through high school with the “original” crew.  I will miss all our conversations and most of all your laugh; we talked about everything under the sun, always talking about our beautiful kids and grandkids and sharing current pictures. I don’t even know where to start. We met as teenagers. We worked together and played together, traveled together and most importantly raised our kids together. I cannot even put into words what she meant to me.
She was the best friend anyone could ever ask My heart breaks for her girls and I know how very much she loved them and all of her beautiful grandkids.

Amy was a truly an angel here on earth.  She was he first person to cut my baby's hair.  Christina  was about 2, scared and crying.  Christina was sitting on Wendy's  lap big huge tears rolling down her face. Christina was so scare she vomited on the salon floor.  Amy took  it all in stride, speaking softly, keeping all of us calm to finish cutting her hair.  Amy cut my family's hair for over  20 years. we loved her and will miss our 6 week visits. We are sending big hugs to her daughters  grandchildren , family and friends.  She was a beautiful  soul. 

In the photo Randy seems OK with the situation but Amy, maybe not so much as she is giving him the side eye. It shows how many decades our families have been together.

Amy lived in the house behind mine when we were in grade school.  Later she became my friend, confident, and hair stylist for many years.  She loved her kids and grandkids more than anything.  When I had a heart transplant, she offered to come to my house to color and cut my hair.  She was a very caring person.  I am deeply saddened she lost her life so soon.

Amy was such a beautiful person. She’s been my stylist for so many years, I simply considered her a friend. And what makes her so wonderful, is that of her very many clients—I’ll bet every single one of us feels the same about Amy. I send love and prayers for peace to Amy’s family.  She was and always will be one of kind.

Goodbye my dear sweet sister. Dee and I are certainly going to miss your part of the sisterhood like crazy. I will always remember our fun times growing up at the lake and the farm. Working with you for over 30 years was the best. People would ask me "How can you work with your sisters?" I'd answer "Are you kidding? It's great!" We've always had that special bond. I met the McCarty girls in high school and they always were kind to me.  Later, I found them again when they began working as hair stylists.  Amy cut my hair every four weeks for 42 years.  I looked forward to our monthly visits. There’s something comforting about being in the company of people you’ve known most of your life.  I looked forward to our conversations about our families, the things we remembered from high school, and how the world had changed.

Any was a private person, and so I don’t pretend that my visibility extended to every  corner of her life.  But I knew enough to know that she excelled in her roles as mother, daughter, business owner, fellow citizen, and loyal friend.  Many will miss her.  I am one of them.

Amy was a childhood friend since Vance Elementary School in the early 1960's.  I played many hours at her childhood home and in her Farm/Neighborhood, with her Brothers and Sisters.  Amy was a tough childhood friend and she played hard along with the Boys.  I  continued to stay friends with her all the way through Washington High School, enjoying many gatherings with Amy and our many mutual friends.  Then as an adult, Amy was my Hair Stylist for over 30-Years.  We had many hours of conversations about many subjects over the years.  I will truly miss seeing Amy on a regular 6-week schedule.  My Condolences to Amy's Family, and may Amy now rest in peace.  Don Curran.

Amy took great care of my late wife Mary Ann and I for the past 40 years of so! When my wife wasn't able to get out, Amy offered to come to the house to trim her hair. A good person; I will miss her care.

Amy had taken care of my hair, every four weeks, for 38 years.  She had also cut my mom's, my daughter's, and my three grandson's hair at times.  We were about the same age, had become friends, and always had things to talk about.  She was a gem.

I will miss her dearly and think of her always.

I met Amy several years ago, and she quickly became my friend.  She was always so warm, kind-hearted and very generous.  She thought of others first.  She listened intently and was a great comfort to me.  I love her so much, and I will miss her dearly.  Her daughters and grandchildren were her delight, and she loved them with all of her might.
