A visitation for Al will be held Wednesday, April 28, 2021 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, 2203 Parallel Ave., Kansas City, Kansas 66104. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11:00 AM. A private family graveside service will take place at 1:30 PM at Leavenworth National Cemetery, 150 Muncie Rd., Leavenworth, Kansas 66048.
Al was an Army veteran and he served in the Korean War. He was a die hard sports fan. He especially enjoyed watching the Kansas City Royals, Kansas City Chiefs and the KU Jayhawks. He was a member of Blessed Sacrament for many years. In his younger years he would enjoy helping with church functions and his community. Al was devoted to his family and enjoyed every minute he spent with them. He enjoyed taking the grandkids to the Wyandotte County Fair as well as feeding the ducks at Wyandotte County Lake. We will miss him dearly and always keep him in our hearts.
Al was preceded in death by his son Robert Padilla; brothers John Padilla, Frank Padilla and sisters Margarita Padilla and Antonia Martinez.
Al is survived by his wife, Concepion Padilla; daughter Marcia Vigil; brother Louis Padilla; sisters Virginia Padilla- Lara, Severina Padilla and Juanita Padilla; grandchildren Christina Vigil, Jennifer Islamovic, Samantha Burman, Alecia Vigil, Jon Jessepe, Lillian Jessepe, Gavin Jessepe, Levi Nozhackum, Summer Padilla and great grandchildren Brandonlee Sanchez, Gabriella Vigil, Laney Vigil, Adis Islamovic, Ajsa Islamovic, Alessandra Olberding and Corbin Burman.
Serving as pallbearers are Brandonlee Sanchez, Brian Olberding, John Padilla, Jr., Leo Martinez, Richard Padilla and David Padilla.
