Sharon Darlene Chang, 70, of Waimanalo, Hawaii, passed away on Sunday, August 20th, 2023. Born June 28, 1953 in Honolulu, Hawaii at Kapiolani Hospital. She was the daughter of the late Joseph Souza Dias Sr. and the late Rosaline Dias. She is one of ten siblings; Rose Parker, Joseph Dias, Eloise “Janet” Santos, Doris Barber, Gail Dias, Warren Dias, Dennis Dias, Clyde Dias, and Suzette Woods.
Sharon is survived by her husband of 48 years; Leonard Gary Chang; daughter Desiree Dawn Tupou married to Kalei Tupou; three grandchildren, Olivia K. Tupou, Aiden K. Tupou, and Colton K. Tupou; and two sons, Dustin M. Chang and Tyler M. Chang married Ashli Chang.
Sharon was a passionate Art and Hawaiiana teacher of 27 years at St Anthony School Kailua. She grew up on an equestrian working ranch called the Circle D Ranch in Waimanalo, Hawaii. She loved riding horses and living the country life with her large Portuguese family. Sharon was an excellent daughter, sister, wife, mother, and grandmother. Her extraordinary talents are considered to be a fabulous cook, horseback rider, story teller, jeep lover, seamstress, and crafter.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, September 23rd, 2023 at St Anthony Church & School Hall located at 148 Makawao Street, Kailua, Hawaii, 96744. 9:30am-10:30am Public Visitation, 10:30am Eulogy, 11:00am Funeral Mass, 12:00 noon Food Reception in School Hall, and 2:00pm Burial at Hawaii Memorial Cemetery, 45-425 Kamehameha Highway, Kaneohe, Hawaii 96744.
