She was born on Feb 3rd, 1929 in Kula, Maui to Momiichi Nagata and Umeyo Takamori. She is the middle child of six siblings.
She is survived by her sister Sally Viveriros. Her parents, sisters Harriet Welch, Ruth Murakami, and Joyce Tam Ho, brothers Tamotsu Nagata and Mamoru Nagata predeceased her. She was married to her husband, Masaru Larry Endo, on April, 23, 1949. They were married for 57 years and had four children. They lived in Maui and later moved to Oahu and resided in Enchanted Lakes, Kailua. Her husband and their children Eugene Endo, Fred Endo, Ellen Endo, and Sharon Endo predeceased her. She was survived by her 8 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, and 4 great great-grandchildren. Towards the end of her life she was cared for by her granddaughters Trina Ho and Elena Endo Mercado.
Setsuko was baptized as a Jehovah's Witness on Aug 18th, 1967 and on June 1st, 1968 she became a regular pioneer. She was a commuter Bethalite for the Watchtower branch in Hawaii for ten years and also worked at the Mililani Assembly Hall garden. She would like to be recognized for her 55 years as a devoted Jehovah's Witness.
