Lovell Keikioewa Kaopua Sr.

passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on the evening of Wednesday, January 25, 2023 at the Adventist Health Castle Hospital.

Lovell was born November 21, 1944 in Honolulu, Hawaiʻi to Isaac and Ida Kaopua and grew up in Kaimukī and Waimānalo. He retired with 45 years from the Plumber Pipefitter Union UA Local 675 working his way up from apprentice to Training Coordinator and Business Agent. He was a devout member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and was a dedicated servant in the many positions to which he was called.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his sister Ida Kahoali'i (Luther), brother Herbert, Sr. (Loretta), and daughter Kimberly. He is survived by his wife, Emogene; his brother Isaac, Jr. (Heipua), and his sister Karen Kahananui (Joseph, Jr.); his children, Lovell Jr., (Maile), Shannon (Teresa), Isaiah, Holly “Kawai” (Ronald), nine grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Services will be held Friday, March 10, 2023 at the Hawaiian Memorial Park-Chapel. Visitation:9am, Services:10am, and Interment:1pm. Covid Safe-mask required.
