Otto was born in Bremen, Germany, and came to Canada alone at age 20, settling in Manitoba and then Prince Rupert where he met his wife, Eva, raised their family, and ran his own painting business. In 1980, Otto, Eva and George moved to Chase where Otto and George operated their father and son Bohl’s Painting business. Otto was a talented artist and musician, and in his younger years an outdoorsman and fisherman. He was a loving and caring husband, brother, father, grandfather and great grandfather, friend to many, and a fixture in his community. He will be dearly missed by those fortunate enough to have known him.
Otto is predeceased by five siblings and his sons Gary and Harold, and survived by his loving wife of 65 years of marriage, Eva, siblings Karl (Edeltraut) and Waltraut (in Germany), children Ruth (Mark) and George, grandchildren Jeremy, Jonathan (Tanya) and Justin (Ruth F), great grandchildren Konrad and Kira, and nieces and nephews.
