Nick never enjoyed being the focus of attention, so we will be brief in our remembrances. In life he was an intellect, author, musician, and athlete, but most importantly he was a truly good person. He cared about people and used his gifts to nurture deep and long-lasting connections. A friend of Nick’s was a friend for life. It is not an exaggeration to say that he was treasured by all who knew him and enjoyed his kindness, empathy, and mischievous sense of humour.
Nick was the centre of our lives, and he never missed an opportunity to ensure we knew how much he loved us, and of how proud he was of us, especially Elizabeth. There could be no better husband or father. He filled every day with loving care, joy, and whimsy. He loved to make us laugh, and nothing made us happier than to make him laugh too.
Nick is survived by his wife Tanya, daughter Elizabeth, mother Valerie and many loving relatives and friends. We are all heartbroken. He was dearly loved and will be forever missed.
In keeping with his humble nature, no service by request.
