John Phillip Beka

Born in Edmonton, AB on January 10, 1960

Passed away in Kamloops, BC on February 25, 2021

John is survived by his loving daughter Desiree, and sons Sterling and John. He also leaves to cherish his memory his sisters Cindy, Candace (Scott), brothers Donald (Lisa), D’Arcy and Troy (Coreena); nieces and nephews Greg, Joe, Lisa, Eric, Wayne, Angie, Nadine, Madeline, Naomi, Justin, Travis, Kaylne, Josh, Sara, Jessie, Destiny, Cole, Justyce, Domino and Wylde; many great nieces and nephews; his Uncle Hunks and Aunty Val and his many cousins, friends and family by choice. He was predeceased by his parents John Beka and Doreen & Ernie Wallin; siblings Cheryl, Darren & Dwayne and niece Jessica.

John was born in Edmonton, Alberta and was raised in Surrey, BC. He moved from Surrey to Clinton BC, where he worked for BC Rail and stayed for a number of years. He then pursued a career in welding, which he was always passionate about. And, in true Gypsy style, he called many places home. John always had a positive outlook and always reminded his loved ones that “It’s a good day to be alive”. He will be sadly missed by his loving family and many friends.

He will be laid to rest in Clearwater, British Columbia , with graveside service for family and close friends, following COVID-19 protocols at a later date.
