It is with very heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Jean-Pierre Chave on February 13, 2024, he was surrounded by his loving family. He was 82 years old.
Jean-Pierre will be deeply missed by his loving wife (and partner in crime) of 60 years Marie-Jo; his son and best friend Chris; his daughter-in-law Lisa; his grandson Julien; his granddaughter Justine (Sidney), his sister in law Harriet Chave, his nephews and nieces, Rene and Nancy Chave, Sylvie and John Williams and Darcie Chave and Emily and all of his loving French family and friends; Rene Morel and family, Josy and Bernard Benezet and their family, Georges and Simone Cadiere, Sandrine and Didier Molinier.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Justine, and his brother, Jacques.
Jean-Pierre came with his family to Canada from Nimes, France in 1977. He started working as a dental technician for Walker Dental Laboratories and bought the business shortly after with his business partner Ken. Chris came onboard a few years later and took over the lab when Jean-Pierre retired.
His investment in the lab was amazing and his dedication to excellence in his work was remarkable.
Jean-Pierre loved the outdoors. He and Chris spent a lot of time together fishing and hunting. Snowmobiling with Marie-Jo, Chris and Julien was the way winter weekends were played at Sheridan Lake in the Cariboo where he was spending his retirement.
He was a wonderful husband, father and grandpa. Niccolo his much loved puppy is still looking for him.
Jean-Pierre was a good man who lived his life with integrity and a heart full of love for his family.
We miss him so very much and will treasure his memories.
