I am sure jayaint is comfortable where ever is he. i pray to God to give strength to the family to bear this loss. Physically is not with us but mentally is always with us. 

Its really sad to find that one of my dearest friend has left us. We went to Australia together and were roommates for many years until he left Australia. All those memories came back to me when I learnt of his passing. Jay, Rest in peace. You were a brother to me. 

You were needed on this earth. Gone too soon.

Jay was a dear friend. I remember going to classes together, sharing an apartment and even travelling to India for his wedding. 

He was a generous man, who always cared for those around him. Always lit up the room with his charming personality & humour. He was courageous & strong, even until the very end. I will forever miss him & hope he is in a better place.

Jay was my first friend in Canada. We lived in the same homestay as he had also just moved to Canada for his studies. 

I would fill a book and then some if I was to write about Jay. 
He holds a very special place in my heart, always will. 

I feel so blessed to have known him. 

Jay and I worked together during our University days. We hit it off right away due to the fact we had similar humour. He lit up a room and made work always enjoyable and our friendship grew outside of work. I will always hold a special place for our many bartending nights filled w laughter 

Beta Jayant, although physically you are not with us but mentally you are always with us.  I always remember you with all pictures of your marriage in front of my eyes. I always remember the Gurdwara scene of your marriage. So you are always with us . You are so great that you came all the way to India to see your mom and spent a few days with her so that she can feed you the food of your choice. you were a very responsible boy. with love  Satya Mausi

I first met Jay when he was interviewing for his job.  He was eager  and had impressive confidence, with just a hint of his sense of humour.  Over the few years knowing him he was always kind and compassionate.  It was a shock to hear that Jay is no longer with us.  My deepest condolences to Kamal and the rest of Jay's family.

Jay and I first met when we both were new to this country and Kamloops. 
His larger than life personality was noticeable along with some sleek jokes. 
We crossed paths again when we played cricket together. 
He was kind, intelligent and fun.

I still remember the day I landed in Canada,
Jay was always a big brother to me who showed me the path to make a better life in this wonderful country, Jay was always there to help everyone in need.  You will be deeply missed Jay bhaiya.

Jay and I crossed paths at many occasions, and there were a few things that were always clear to me. 

From the outside looking in, he was a dashing, charismatic young man who had a smile that would light a room. Not only did he have the looks, he was ultra intelligent with an accent that I think was Australian? His positive energy was undeniable and contagious. Anyone around Jay felt alive. 

But when you have a closer look you will see that he was more than just the fun guy, he was also the caring big brother of a group.

Long before Jay became an instructor at the university, he was a mentor and a teacher. After his arrival to Canada, he immediately started helping the university welcome new students. He was dedicated to bring them into the new community and show them how they can start their lives in Kamloops. 

He was a man with a big heart. Protective, loving and reliable.  He was loyal to his friends and no doubt to his family. He was always there for whoever needed help and was someone you could always count on. 

I believe Jay was with us to help us along our journey.  We all at one point and time learned from him. I am saddened by the news of his passing. He touched many lives and will always be remembered and deeply missed.

It’s hard to gather our thoughts and pen down our sentiments about this devastating loss. Cricket is a brotherhood, and today we lost a brother in the prime of his life. It’s hard to fathom the void he has left in so many people’s lives including our cricket team. He loved the sport of cricket and was one of the founding members of the Kamloops Cricket Club. He was always involved in everything related to the club, be it management, practises, games, ordering equipment, managing equipment, financials and pretty much everything about cricket. If there was something the rest of the club members didn’t want to take on, be it umpiring or knocking the cricket bat or picking up lunch, Jay would say, “Kya yaar chutiye kat rahe ho” and would just go ahead and do it.

He was never shy to voice his opinion, hated bullshit and would call people out on it. He was very punctual probably maybe too much, since nobody else in our club is, so he would always end up being the first one on the field. He played the sport with all his heart and would never give anything less than a 100%. Whenever the chips were down, you could always count on Jay to rally the team. He would never give up on a game until it was over, believed he could win from any situation. Every year we wanted to do a team bonding activity, and he was always the first to say just tell me the time and place and I will be there. Never argued with the captain on the field, once the game was over it was a different ball game. He always wanted the team to succeed and the club to grow, always trying to promote young guys and helping nurture them. He was fearless, would go out on the field without a helmet to play fast bowling, confident in his skill to hit the ball before it could hit him. He played his cricket the way he lived life, carefree and passionate. 

He is gone too soon, leaving a void in all our hearts. I still feel like he is going to walk onto our cricket field, and say, “Idar, idar daal ball” or go stand 2 feet

Thank you Jay for everything you did for us, you were always up and ready for anything. A great human being. My condolences to  chaudhry Family and you will be always with us. 

You touched so many lives Jay. Our family won’t be the same without you.  Sharing in your sadness and holding you close in our thoughts Kamal.

Jayant  was a genuine, caring affectionate and brilliant young man  who had an infectious smile, loved life and brought cheers and brightness where ever he went.  In a few  meetings he won us over completely and convinced us the correctness of our (niece/daughter) Kamal's choice for her life partnership.

Jay was truly one of a kind. As soon as we met Jay, we felt like we knew him for a lifetime. He was charismatic, warm, and welcoming. He was always happy to meet you and share funny stories and jokes. We truly enjoyed every interaction we had with Jay!

He had the rare ability to respectfully argue with someone that had a differing viewpoint to his and he would always hold his ground. He was a strong, graciously stubborn, and prideful man.

This is so heartbreaking. Jay was forever smiling and positive. I will always remember the dance Jay did with Kamal in Patiala during one of their wedding functions. Seeing them together was blissful. Anyone could tell they were so madly in love. Jay had one of the most cheekiest smiles I have ever seen. Gone too soon... He had so much to do and so much potential. Still such a shock that this young man’s life was cut short so cruelly. Can’t even imagine what Kamal and Jay’s family are going through. We met at the University about a decade ago. His eyes were sparkling with blasting life loving energy no one could resist.

Was it not just yesterday in Patiala that a handsome boy showed up with beautiful people around and I had the honor of ‘tie the turban’ ceremony? This is the day, my lovely niece tied knots with this young man, the pride of Chaudhry Family!

Then blessing Kamal and Jay with a traditional song, wishing them the best of both worlds is still fresh in my mind, not realizing that he will leave us all so soon, to be with HIM!

Last  year and a year before, spending time with Jay in Khanjarwal and Kamloops respectively, (as if it had to happen) did not realize that is it! The journey of togetherness will turn into just memories!

That we will all just now carry till we meet again!
