With sad hearts, we announce the passing of Crystal Ann (Bannister) Foreman. Crystal was born to Jack and Gwen Bannister at Lion’s Gate Hospital in North Vancouver on Aril 20, 1950, and passed away July 14, 2021, at the age of 71.
Her greatest joy was to have a backyard full of people and dogs and a swimming pool full of kids and pool toys. Crystal volunteered at the SPCA for several years. She loved to walk her dogs along the beach in front of her house, in the hills around Kamloops, and on special trips to Tranquille School on Kamloops Lake.
In 1996, Crystal took an early retirement from BC Tel and enjoyed all the activities available in Kamloops and the surrounding area. If you asked her for advice, she would tell you to take early retirement and “Give it all you have” while you still can.
Crystal always wanted four children, but when that did not happen, she treated her best friends three daughters as her own, and when a student arrived from Korea for the Home Stay Program, she was the fourth.
In 2013, Crystal became ill. She always looked at the positive side and was always planning for what she was going to do after she got better.
Finally, she did not have the strength to continue, and she passed peacefully on July 14, 2021. Predeceasing her was her brother Gary, Her Father and Mother Jack and Gwen Bannister. Crystal is survived by her husband Doug Foreman, her sisters Linda Wilson and Jacqueline Bartell her four honorary daughters Ashley, Stephanie, Julia and Ji-Young, her little black dog Frankie, and many friends, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
A Celebration of Life will be held for family and close friends at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Crystal Foreman’s name to the Kamloops Branch of the SPCA.
