Beatrice ImMacOlata Salvati

Beatrice is survived by her daughters Giuseppina (Joe) Racic and Jessica (Daniel) Leone; and seven grandchildren Damiano, Mateo, Stefan, Stella Racic along with Giada, Vincenzo and Ilaria Leone. Her grandchildren were her everything and she cherished every moment with them.

Beatrice will be dearly missed by her loving brothers Pietro (Elvira) Caligiuri, Francesco Caligiuri, Angela Dicostanzo, Domenico (Giovanna) Caligiuri, Attilio (Lucia) Caligiuri, and brother in-law Ascanio (Elisa) Salvati, and sister in-law Rosa Salvati. She will be remembered by her many nieces and nephews in Canada and Italy.

She was predeceased by her loving husband Vincenzo, her parents Pasquale and Carmela Caligiuri as well as her infant daughter Tina.

Beatrice was born on November 9th, 1951 in Amato, Italy. In February 1971 she immigrated to Prince Rupert, BC, Canada. Where she would begin her new life…she made lifelong friends, where they would get together for weekly card games, hold many parties, and babysat many of the neighborhood kids. Everyone wanted Aunty Bea to babysit.

Mom will be forever remembered for hosting friends and family, making big delicious homemade pasta dinners served with the chili peppers. Your plate was always full, and your glass always had wine in it, and if you weren't rolling out of the house, you didn't eat enough. If she wasn't cooking or baking her peaches and cannolis, she was always working in her garden or taking care of her flowers. Her backyard was her oasis. She taught us to be strong and hard working. If you put your mind to it, anything can be achieved. Mom will forever be missed!

Service for prayers will be on Tuesday August 22nd at 6pm at Our Lady of Perpetual Help, 635 Tranquille Rd, Kamloops. The funeral will be Wednesday Aug 23rd at 10am at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Burial will follow at Hillside Cemetery. All are welcome to join the family at Colombo Lodge at 1:00 pm for food and beverages and Celebration of Life.
