David Ronald Williams, 71, died Oct. 3, 2024, at home in Naalehu on the Big Island. He moved from Niles, Ohio, nine years ago and loved everything about Hawaii, especially the people. Dave was born Feb. 28, 1953, in Ohio, son of Kenneth Sr. and Jean Boyd Williams. He leaves the love of his life, Mary; sisters Carolyn Pitlik, JoAnn Patterson, Marilyn Graff, Barbara Cross and Donna Carrino, all on the Mainland. Predeceased by parents, brothers Kenneth and Donald, sister Patricia Solida and two nephews. He was a graduate of Kent State (Ohio) University and an Air Force veteran. An active Mason, he was Senior Warden of the Kona Lodge and Tiler of the Kilauea Lodge in Hilo and the Hilo Valley Scottish Rite. Dave was a member and lay speaker at Kauaha'ao Congregational Church UCC in Waiohinu. He owned Dave's Equipment, serving vehicle-repair shops on Hawaii's four large islands. He was a big fan of the Cleveland Browns and the Blaneys in NASCAR.Masonic services will be held at his church on November 2,2024 at 10:30AM with Celebration of Life starting at 11:00AM and lunch to follow.
