While in the Air Force, he married his high school sweetheart Barbara. Cammy worked for Maui Dry Goods as an Automotive Mechanic for many years, Co-Owner for Central Automotive. He was also self-employed business owner of Country Towing and later retired. Cammy was a brilliant machinist and genius mechanic specializing in Harleys and Triumphs. Many bike riders from all over the island would bring their bikes for Cammy to repair. During his younger days, Cammy enjoyed racing cars and bikes. He became the first president and one of the first founders of Maui Raceway Drag Strip. Cammy was a highly intelligent individual and often shared his wisdom with others.
