Sarah Jane Nagel, of Tequesta, Florida passed away peacefully after an illness on Saturday September 29th, 2012. Born October 18, 1924, she was the daughter of Dr. Wallace and Esther Prugh, and grew up in the Dayton, Ohio area. She attended Miami University and graduated from Ohio State with a degree in Occupational Therapy. She was married to Paul C. Nagel Jr. for over 49 years and was a dedicated mother to her 4 children. She was a resident of Tequesta for more than 35 years after relocating from Glencoe, Illinois. She traveled extensively, loved gardening and orchid growing. She served on the Board of Gratitude House of West Palm Beach for more than 30 years where she led an art therapy program. She was active in her church and enjoyed traveling with them. It was her mission in life to help others; this she did tirelessly, never giving up on anyone.
She is survived by her 4 children: Diana Cusser of Mission Hills, KS, Dane Nagel of West Palm Beach, FL, Nancy Tasaka of El Dorado Hills, CA, and Carl Nagel of Boynton Beach, FL. Also, her brother David Prugh and her four grandchildren, Dr. J. Andrew Cusser, Robert Cusser, Sarah Cusser and Paul Tasaka.
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday October 6th at 10:00 am at First Presbyterian Church, 717 Prosperity Farms Road, North Palm Beach.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the First Presbyterian Church or Gratitude House, 1700 N. Dixie Highway, West Palm Beach, Fl. 33407.
