

Mr. Licata was born in Bridgeport, CT. on August 19, 1924 to the late Sebastiano and Domenica Licata. In 1964, Sal founded Medallion Sporting Goods which continues to be operated by his children. After retiring he started his home building construction company. He proudly served his country in the Navy during World War II as a Seabee and ship’s cook 2ND class in the Philippines. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his brother Anthony Licata.
Survivors include his loving wife of 66 years, Rita B. Licata, daughter Christine (Dave) DeLong, sons, Vincent Licata, Michael (Sandy) Licata, David (Kim) Licata, Patrick (Mary Jane) Licata, Kevin (Lisa) Licata. Grandchildren: Justin, Scott (Michelle), Ashley (Kevin, fiance), Terrence, Alexis, Andrea, Jennifer (Cory, fiance), Kayla, Austin, Eryn, Leah, Lindsey, Great grandchildren: Elijah, Sef, Niece: Lucille (Peter) Sullivan and their children, Nephew: Anthony (Linda) Licata and their children.
Visitation with the family will begin on Tuesday, November 3, 2015 from 6:oo pm – 8 p.m. at Aycock Funeral Home, 1112 Military Trail, Jupiter, FL. 33458. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Clare Catholic Church, 821 Prosperity Farms Road, North Palm Beach, FL. 33408 at 2:00pm , Wednesday, November 4, 2015 with burial at Riverside Memorial Park, Tequesta, FL. immediately following.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations can be made to St. Clare Catholic School and/or Church in his name.
